Product Description

Revolade 50mg Tablet “ Thrombopoietin Receptor Agonist

Revolade 50mg Tablet is an anticoagulant medication containing Eltrombopag, a thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist. It is prescribed to increase platelet counts in patients with:
Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) “ an autoimmune disorder where the immune system destroys platelets, increasing the risk of severe bleeding and bruising.
Hepatitis C (HCV)-related low platelet counts.
Severe aplastic anaemia “ a serious condition where the bone marrow fails to produce enough new blood cells.

Who Should Avoid Revolade 50mg?

Do not take this medication if you have:
🚫 A known allergy to Eltrombopag or its components. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
🚫 Severe liver disease or active liver impairment. This drug can cause hepatotoxicity, indicated by increased liver enzyme and bilirubin levels, potentially worsening liver function.

Precautions & Warnings

  • Your doctor may recommend routine eye exams to check for cataracts and retinal bleeding.
  • If you stop taking this medicine, your platelet count may drop within a few days, requiring regular monitoring.
  • A very high platelet count may increase the risk of blood clots, even at normal or low levels. Your doctor will adjust the dosage to maintain a safe balance.
  • Avoid consuming dairy products while taking this medicine, as calcium interferes with absorption.
  • Use effective birth control during treatment, and inform your doctor if you become pregnant.
