Product Description

Revolade 25mg Tablet “ Thrombopoietin Receptor Agonist

Revolade 25mg Tablet is an anticoagulant medication containing Eltrombopag, which belongs to the thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist category. It is used to increase platelet counts in patients with:
Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) “ an autoimmune disorder where the immune system destroys platelets, leading to an increased risk of severe bleeding and bruising.
Hepatitis C (HCV)-related low platelet counts.
Severe aplastic anaemia “ a serious condition where the bone marrow fails to produce enough new blood cells.

Who Should Avoid Revolade 25mg?

Do not take this medication if you have:
🚫 A known allergy to Eltrombopag or any of its components. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
🚫 Severe liver disease or active liver impairment. This drug can cause hepatotoxicity, indicated by increased liver enzymes and bilirubin levels.

Precautions & Warnings

  • Your doctor may recommend routine eye exams to check for cataracts and retinal bleeding.
  • If you stop taking this medicine, your platelet count may drop within a few days, so regular platelet monitoring is essential.
  • A very high platelet count may increase the risk of blood clots, though clots can also form at normal or low platelet levels. Your doctor will adjust the dose accordingly.
  • Avoid consuming dairy products while taking this medicine, as calcium interferes with absorption.
  • Use effective birth control during treatment, and inform your doctor if you become pregnant.

Usage Restrictions

Œ Not recommended for children under one year old with ITP.
Œ Not suitable for patients under 18 years old with low platelet counts due to HCV or severe aplastic anaemia.
Œ Inform your doctor about any medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs.

Always follow your doctor™s instructions and attend regular check-ups to ensure safe and effective treatment.
